Our small group of screened Toronto host families and landlords are setting a standard of excellence in and around the Toronto area for providing the best valued furnished room rental accommodations for international travelers.

After having hosted at least one term with Homes Abroad (initial leases vary in length), you may be eligible to upgrade your account with us and become a Preferred HAI Toronto homestay host.

Benefits for Preferred Hosts

As an HAI Preferred Toronto Host or landlord inside of our network, your available accommodations will be our top priority to fill with the overflow of screened tenants/students that HAI receives housing requests from each month!

Additional opportunities to feature your homestay or room rental on our website's home page and two popular blogs will be made available to you, creating further interest and popularity for your accommodations and will help keep them filled more regularly!

Additional customization and video profiles will be added to each of our preferred hosts' profiles, setting your accommodation apart from others and allowing your family's uniqueness to shine.

The HAI preferred network is limited to only several addresses in each part of the city which means we operate on a first come first serve application basis.

Keeping our network small and targeted allows HAI to provide high standards to both sides of our client base, our Toronto host families and our hosted students, making for a happy and safe atmosphere for everyone.

Payment Information

HAI Toronto hosts and landlords of independent residences are paid initially from Homes Abroad International Ltd, at the time of the first contract between tenants supplied by HAI, and the Toronto host family.

A copy of our payment policies will be included in your application approval package. Payments thereafter are paid directly from the student/tenant to the respective Toronto host or landlord and will be arranged independently between those parties.

HAI can assist you with this documentation for an additional fee. Property leases, move-in inspection checklist, furniture inventory checklist, and general shared living guidelines can be supplied for $50.

Payments are made online via email money transfer to any Canadian bank account. Here is an overview & interactive tutorial on how to use this time saving banking service.

Set Up Your HAI Host Account Right Now
Step #1	Process Your Membership Payment Make your annual HAI host investment of $100 using any major credit card using the "subscribe" button below.

Step #2	Get Started With Our Application Complete our homestay host/network landlord application and tell us about yourself and your accommodation.

Step #3	Submit Your Photos Follow the on-screen directions after submitting your application from step #2, sending in photos of your accommodation(s).

Step #4	Send In Your Agreement and Profile Details After you receive the host profile information sheet, and HAI policy agreement from us by response email, send them back to us signed and dated so that we can start creating your customized online profile page. Once we're finished (normally within 72 hours) we'll activate your profile into our database and start showing your accommodation to potential homestay guests and tenants!
